Welcome to ShareWise. This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled when you use our mobile application.
ShareWise is a Bill & Expense Splitter application developed by AKON TRADING & ALLIED SERVICES (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience when using our app.
Offline First: ShareWise is designed as an offline-first application. We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number to use the core features of the app.
Local Storage: Any information you enter, such as bill amounts, member counts, and expense history, is stored locally on your device using an encrypted Room database. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible by us.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII). The app functions without a backend server or cloud synchronization.
ShareWise may access basic device information required for the app's functionality, such as:
ShareWise is designed to be as private as possible and requires zero system permissions to function. It does not require access to your internet, storage, location, contacts, or any other sensitive device data.
ShareWise does not currently use third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, or crash reporting. There are no integrations with Firebase, AdMob, or Google Analytics in the current implementation.
Because your data is stored locally on your device, the security of your information depends on the security of your mobile device. We recommend using device-level security features like passcodes or biometrics to protect your data.
Our app does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected, we are in compliance with COPPA and other international privacy regulations.
You have full control over your data. You can view, modify, or delete your expense history at any time directly within the app's "History" and "Settings" screens.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the effective date.
